Staffing Announcement: Andrew Dorriere

We are excited to share that Andrew Dorriere has accepted our offer to come to Lehigh University as an Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs!

Andrew will join us from Ball State University where he is completing his Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs Administration (anticipated May 2019).  Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Northern Kentucky University. As a graduate student, he has worked extensively with the North American Interfraternity Conference and National Pan-Hellenic Council. In addition, Andrew spent time as a practicum student working at the Zeta Tau Alpha International Headquarters. Andrew is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

Those who interviewed Andrew provided overwhelmingly positive feedback when evaluating his candidacy. They said the following:

Andrew is very personable, easy to talk to, and exemplified professionalism. It is evident he has had to have challenging conversations with students surrounding high risk behaviors.

I appreciated that Andrew talked about how to hold student organizations accountable while building relationships/trust with individual students and groups, as well as providing boundaries. He also spoke about Greek Life as a community vs. a system. He talked about strengthening chapters by helping chapters with their executive board transitions. He also has a ton of experience with educational programs (hazing, sexual assault education, etc.) I think that Andrew would be a great fit to the DOS team and would be able to support our Greek students.

He seems to understand the challenges facing our campus today and seems willing to do what he can to make effective changes on our campus.

Andrew will join us on July 15, 2019.

Staffing Announcement: Devore McIntosh

We are excited to share that Devore McIntosh has accepted our offer to join Lehigh’s Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Team as an Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs!

Devore will join us from Wilberforce University, where he served as the Associate Dean of Campus Life for the past two years. In this role, Devore worked to oversee the operation of the Student Life Office, as well as assisted in the operation of the Residential Life Department. Devore completed his Bachelor of Arts in History and Africana Studies and Master of Arts in Africana Studies degrees from the University of Albany, State University of New York. While at SUNY Albany, Devore became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.

Those who interviewed Devore provided overwhelmingly positive feedback when evaluating his candidacy.  They said the following:

Devore has a ton of great experiences that would help him be successful in this position. He understands Greek Life from the perspectives of student and staff member. I appreciated that he spoke about building relationships with students and advocating for chapters while also understanding his role as a university staff member. He has experience advising chapters and councils, he has experience with crisis management, building/housing management, and organizational conduct.

[Devore was] Really open and honest. Had a genuine care for Greek life and a passion for seeing people succeed which is very important in an advisor.

He was super honest with us about his college experience and what he expects out of us as students.

Devore will join us on July 22.
