Greek Week Information

GREEK WEEK 2013





Monday, September 9th

 

BBQ

4:30 PM

Chi Phi/Hill Road Area

Send at least 10 of your chapter members to the Greek Week Kick-Off  BBQ, check in and pick up your t-shirts. You will receive 50 points for checking in with at least 10 team members.

Wear letters!

There will be food, first come first serve.

We will also be playing games and hanging out! Please take this time to get to know other members of your Greek Week teams. If you have a corn hole set or any type of game, please bring it.

 

Dodgeball

7 PM

Grace Hall

Please choose 7 members of your team to be a part of the dodgeball team. One member from each chapter on the team is necessary.  Minimum of 3 sorority members per team. Teams can rotate throughout the tournament.

There will be 2 courts with a double elimination format. There will be a bracket with 4 teams on each side.

Points: 1st Place 100 points, 2nd Place 80 points, 3rd place 60 points, and 4th place with 40 points

 

Tuesday, September 10th

 

Volleyball

Kappa Alpha

4:30PM

Teams of 7, one member from each chapter is necessary. Minimum of 3 sorority members per team. Teams can rotate throughout the tournament.

Teams will play to 11.  Rally scoring, single elimination.

Points: 1st Place 100 points, 2nd Place 80 points, 3rd place 60 points, and 4th place with 40 points

 

Calling Challenge

5:45PM-9:00PM

UC 303, 304, 308

 

**Only two members are required to attend per shift, due to limited space. These members can stay for the entire night, or trade shifts at the halfway point**

Two 2 hour shifts, first half hour is training. You will be raising money for your P&E accounts.

No points will be awarded for this event.

 

Please plan to talk about what your chapter has accomplished ( three bullet points), as well as why you might be raising money/what you want to do with the P&E account.

6:00-6:30 (308)- Training

6:40-7:45- Calling

Wednesday, September 11th

 

Charity Event

4:30PM-7PM

Please spend the week and this time collecting the appropriate items for your district, to donate to a local agency.

Participation in this event by collecting and donating at least 15 items will give each participating team 50 points.

List of items to donate will be given out at the BBQ, so make sure you come!

Trivia

7:30PM

Alpha Tau Omega

Teams can be a maximum of 10 participants. There must be a member of each chapter represented on each trivia team.

There will be 15 questions revolving around the theme of Teen Films, including Hunger Games.

Points:

1st Place 100 points

2nd Place 80 points

3rd place 60 points

4th place 40 points

 

Thursday, September 12th

 

Hunger Games Relay

4:30PM

Front Lawn

6 teams of 4, one for each relay part (each team of 4 needs at least 1 member from each house)

Pool noodle relay- One pool noodle, between the legs of all four members, the team must run back and forth from one line to another without letting the pool noodle touch the ground.  NO USING HANDS.   If the pool noodle touches the ground, start again.

Chopstick egg carry-  Each member is given 1 chopstick.  The team must carry their egg to the the other side of the field without the egg breaking.  If the egg breaks, start again.  No hands, only chopsticks.

Bucket fill-  Using one sponge, toss the sponge down the line of your team, and fill a bucket to the line.  Once the bucket is filled with water to the line, move to the next event.

Ping pong waiter-  Place a ping pong ball on a plate and run through obstacles keeping the ping pong ball on the plate.  If the ping pong ball falls off, that team member must start again.

Mystery event! Be prepared for anything!!!

Lipsync

PA 101

Each team can have a maximum of 15 dancers. There will be 3 judges who will judge from 1-5 based on cohesion as a group, technique, and creativity.

2nd Place 80 points

3rd place 60 points

4th place 40 points

 

 

*Bonus Points*

The top 3 teams for most people participating in each event-  40 points

Lehigh Panhel Instagram: You will be awarded 20 points for submitting a photo in each day of your team at the Greek Week Events and will receive 30 points if your photo gets the most likes the next day.

Our goal is to create Greek Unity and Community, this is a friendly competition, any team/members etc. that are in violation of the Student Conduct Code, or act in a way that risks Greek Unity or Community will be disqualified and could be sent through the conduct process. Chapters should clearly articulate expectations and appropriate behaviors to chapter members.

 

ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED BEFORE, DURING, OR THROUGHOUT GREEK WEEK!
