House of Privilege

The House of Privilege is an interactive experience that aims to illustrate the existence of various types of social privileges and inequities that exist in society. Adapted from the popular Tunnel of Oppression program, the House focuses less on overt and extreme examples of discrimination and more on the subtleties of power and privilege in an effort to promote self-reflection and dialogue. Participants will witness inequality and have a chance to look through the “Window of Opportunity” in each room. These windows serve as a call to action by providing resources for individuals to engage actively in dismantling systems of privilege.
