We renamed the race in honor of friend, Rotarian and last year's co-chair/founder of the 5K, Yvette M. Palmer, who lost her battle to lymphoma a few weeks ago. If it wasn't for her passion, drive, leadership, vision and energy, last year's Purple Pinkie 5K would not have been a success.

I also ask if you please forward this information along to your friends, family, colleagues, students, Greek Life chapters, student clubs, Rotarians, fellow runners/walkers etc., who may be interested in participating, that would be greatly appreciated! (We had 100+ participants last year!)
