Panhellenic Recruitment Open Houses

Hi Everyone!

My name is Laura Sherman and I am the Vice President of Recruitment on Lehigh’s Panhellenic Council, the governing council for nine women’s organizations. As the Vice President of Recruitment, I organize and oversee events pertaining to sorority recruitment including the upcoming Open Houses.

During Open Houses on Sunday, October 14th from 9:15am to 4:00pm, you will have an opportunity to learn more about each chapter, meet the sisters, and see parts of the beautiful facilities! This event is structured the same way as the round during Formal Recruitment in January, so I highly encourage you to make plans to attend.  Take advantage of this opportunity.

In regards to dress code for Sunday, October 14th, casual jeans or leggings and a nice top is really all that you will need. There will also be food at all of the chapter facilities, so you will not have to worry about that.

If you plan on attending Open Houses on Sunday, October 14th, please access the below link to the “Lehigh Sorority Recruitment 2013” Facebook page and respond to my Open House Event by 12:00pm on Friday, October 12th. I will be posting important information on this page throughout the semester, including commonly asked questions, upcoming events, and formal recruitment information.

For even more information about Lehigh’s nine Panhellenic chapters, please browse the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Afffairs website at http://www.lehigh.edu/ofsa/ and follow www.twitter.com/lehighpanhel .

As the fall semester continues, there are a couple of expectations and guidelines that I wanted to remind you about:

-You need a minimum of 12 Lehigh credits and a 2.25 GPA to go through Formal Recruitment in January. Please note that certain chapters may require a higher GPA.

-Do not go into any chapter affiliated facility, whether on or off-campus.

-You should not be going off-campus with members of any chapter (i.e. lunch, mall, etc.) even if you are invited by a chapter member.

-You must be in good conduct standing with Lehigh University’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs and the Office of Student Conduct and Community Expectations.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or your respective Rho Gamma’s if you have any questions! Go Greek!
